about
The event will bring together an exceptional group of scholars, food systems leaders, and advocates to explore the intersections of flavor, science, culture, gastronomy, sustainability, and food systems, while introducing UNISG and its distinctive approach to the global study of food.
The program will highlight the strategic synergy between UNISG’s pioneering interdisciplinary approach and The Rockefeller Foundation’s Periodic Table of Food Initiative. This collaboration will serve as a springboard for presenting UNISG’s mission, academic programs, and vision for an expanding presence in the United States.
We will also introduce UNISG’s scholarship fundraising initiative, with a particular emphasis on expanding educational opportunities for scholars from the Global South, as well as the University’s signature experiential education model, which takes students around the world to meet farmers, food producers, and communities and to understand food systems directly in the field.
Light refreshments will be served at 3:30PM with to follow.
